About Ultrasound: A diagnostic medical imaging technique using sound waves to visualize muscles, tendons, tissues and many internal organs. Imagery can show size, structure and/or abnormalities with real time images.
Ultrasound Guidelines
- Ultrasounds require a physician's order
- Your doctor may place this order electronically, or will provide a paper order from that you should bring with you to your appointment
- A scheduling representative will be in contact with you to discuss any special instructions prior to the date of your exam
- Ferrell Hospital offers ultrasounds Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 7 PM
