Ferrell Hospital To Resume Elective Procedures, Surgeries

Ferrell Hospital will begin resuming elective procedures and surgeries, as allowed this week by the Illinois Department of Public Health. This will include both inpatient and outpatient non-emergency procedures.

Construction at Ferrell Hospital to Change Patient Parking & Entrances, and Close Portions of Two Streets

The $34 million expansion and renovation at Ferrell Hospital is underway, resulting in changes to entrances and patient parking. Sections of two nearby streets will also permanently close on April 15.

Visitation Restrictions Due To Flu

In response to the increase of influenza cases in the region, Ferrell Hospital is following the recommendation of regional health departments and implementing visitation restrictions in our hospital facility.

Ferrell Hospital Celebrates "Transformative" $34 Million Expansion Modernization Project with Groundbreaking Ceremony

Today, Ferrell Hospital officials and community leaders broke ground on the $34 million project, described as “transformative,” that will expand and modernize the hospital’s 25- bed facility.


Ferrell Hospital has secured funding, as well as local, state and national approval, to begin a $34 million expansion and modernization of their 25 bed facility. 

The project, which is set to begin later this fall, will include expanded imaging and surgical facilities, a larger and modern emergency department, and renovation of patient rooms to create more private (rather than semi-private) rooms.
